New Port Operations Police Station of the National Police has a strategic location to control all the activities that take place in Puerto Motril.

The project has been developed by Fresneda & Zamora architecture and design studio , winners of the prize awarded by the Port Authority of Motril in 2017.

The result is a zero energy consumption building. As the architects comment on their website, they opted for "a strategy of filling in the corner and emptying towards the interior with a system of patios, which act as thermal regulators and contribute to the quality of light in the interior and its permeability with the exterior".

Large windows are equipped with Brise Soleil's BR 314 series galvanised steel and adjustable louvres, which aim to control abundant amount of natural light penetrating the building's interior. Louvres also improve the building's comfort and aesthetics, contributing to its energy efficiency.

These steel louvres offer high resistance to impact or deformation, which provides a degree of security to the system. In addition, all the slats are coated with an anti-rust primer.
