Vivienda en Tamariu

OCTAVIO MESTRE
Copaiba

Designed by J. Ribas, A. Lluch and F. Soppelsa in 2004, the project is located in the town of Tamariu, Costa Brava.

The house, designed for the architect's own family, takes full advantage of the regulations of the land and stands on 4 levels where the bedrooms are buried in the lower part and from the dining room and kitchen 5-meter high ceilings are achieved.

The low side of the house is covered in oxidized corten steel, paving the terraces of that level with rusty quartzite, to mask them in the ground and read the house as that one white volume, which comes out and looks out on the landscape, among typical pines of the Mediterranean landscape.

The architecture studio relied on Gradhermetic using our Gradpanel CL 35 Series lattices, 35 x 35 mm slats made of high quality extruded aluminum.

A very appropriate material for its excellent resistance to weathering, accepting a large number of finishes in both anodized and in the RAL range.
