Edifício Los Olmos
Los Olmos is a residential project designed by ABAA Alonso Balaguer architecture studio, founded in 1978 by Luis Alonso and Sergi Balaguer.
They offer a specialised and agile architectural service and believe in "quality and coherent architecture, based on the criteria of functionality, adaptability and timelessness" according to their website. They also understand their "work as a commitment to the client: the client is at the centre and we accompany them in all phases of the process, from the first ideas to the final work".
Located in Vitacura, in the north-eastern sector of the city of Santiago de Chile, the Los Olmos residential complex offers 7 floors of homes with large terraces - and a garden at the bottom - through which a large amount of natural light enters the interior.
Its façade is equipped with Gradpanel P Series louvres, which in addition to fulfilling their function of solar protection, give the building an aesthetic effect thanks to the flexibility and orientation of the louvres, helping to create a living and permanently changing façade. In addition to contributing to interior comfort and improving the energy efficiency of the building.
