CEIP Atenea
CEIP Atenea, located in Arroyo de la Encomienda Valladolid's town, is an education project designed by architect Javier Fuster Galiana, from Javier Fuster Arquitectos SLP architecture studio.
The project was carried out for Junta de Castilla y León Education Ministry, who decided use the current building and turn it into a Compulsory Education Center from September 2020.
The aim was make the education center able to host Secondary students but Infant and Primary students too.
To control natural light that its classrooms receive through its four facades, architecture studio relied on Gradhermetic to cover CEIP Atenea's windows with Gradpanel Series E 150 and Brise Soleil Series BS 220 extruded aluminum adjustable louvers.
This tecnichal and devorative solution contribute to facade aesthetic, interior comfort and an improvement of its energy efficiency.
