Iroco House
In Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the Pla del Mestres house, designed by Esparo Arquitectes, stands out for its efficient and sustainable design, adapted to the North-South orientation of the plot. The North facade, opaque and insulated, minimizes energy loss and enhances privacy, while the South facade, open and equipped with solar control systems, maximizes the connection with the outdoors. The East and West facades reflect the sun to prevent overheating. Internally, materials such as concrete, microcement, and IROCO wood, along with advanced air conditioning and ventilation systems, and photovoltaic panels on the roof, ensure energy efficiency and comfort, following Passive House criteria.
To optimize solar control and energy efficiency, Supergradhermetic blinds have been installed on the South facade. These blinds feature rollable and adjustable slats made of profiled aluminum, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance. With a section of 56 x 14 mm and smooth, flat surfaces, they provide a clean and modern aesthetic finish. Among their benefits are excellent protection against direct solar radiation, energy savings by regulating the entry of sunlight, the possibility of natural ventilation by adjusting the orientation of the slats, and effective natural light control, reducing glare and improving visual comfort.
